Maple Zone boys’ recruit: St. Joseph’s Prep rising senior midfielder D’Avino commits to Colgate

St. Joseph’s Prep rising senior midfielder Will D’Avino has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Colgate University.

Club affiliation: Tri-State

Lacrosse camps/tourneys attended: Baltimore Summer Kickoff, Nike Blue Chip Rising Senior, Tri-State National, NE Storm Invitational, Champ Camp

Academic honors: Highest honors Fall and Spring Semesters, Sophomore and Junior year

Other schools considered:
Amherst, Dartmouth, Williams

Why did you choose Colgate? “Colgate is the perfect fit for me because it combines elite academics with a great D1 lacrosse program. The campus is awesome and I really look forward to playing for Coach (Mike) Murphy and his staff.”

HS team’s outlook for next season?
“We have a lot of exceptional players returning and our goal is to win the Catholic League and get back to the State Championship in Hershey.”
