St. Anne’s-Belfield (Va.) rising senior attackman Miles Davis has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at St. Joseph’s University.

Miles Davis log:

Miles Davis

High school:
St. Anne’s Belfield School

Graduation year: 2013

Position: Attack

College choice: St. Joseph’s University

Club affiliation: VA Elite

Major lacrosse honors: 3 year Varsity starter, third on the team in goals and points last spring, ScrimmagePlay (local sports magazine) NewComer of the Year, 2nd team All-VIC

What will you major in/study: Criminology or Sports Management/Marketing

Why did you choose St. Joseph’s? “I was thankful I had some great options to choose from (Hobart, RMU, and Mount St. Mary’s, and others). It was a hard choice but I felt the most comfortable at St. Joseph’s and feel like that will be the best fit for me socially, athletically, and academically. I liked the urban setting, coaching staff and direction the lacrosse program is heading.”

Outlook for your high school team: L”ast year was a great season for us, we went undefeated in the Prep League and won the Prep League Championship, entered the state tournament as the #1 seed and made it to the State Semi-Finals. Next year the team and I all want to finish what we started and that is winning a State Championship.”

Other comments: “I would not be where I am without my parents and brother’s support, and I can not say how thankful I am for their support. I also would like to thank my high school head coach (Bo Perriello), my club/assistant coach (Hunter Price), and my high school’s AD (Doug Tarring).”

Maple Zone Sports and Fitness Complex, the official sponsor for Phillylacrosse.com Boys’ Recruits, congratulates Miles Davis. Maple Zone, located on Conchester Pike in Boothwyn, offers numerous programs, leagues and instructional activities for boys’ and girls’ lacrosse players and also offers boys’ U13 and U15 travel teams.
