Maple Zone boys’ recruit: Radnor rising senior midfielder Donato commits to Colgate

Radnor rising senior midfielder Peter Donato has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Colgate University.

Major lacrosse honors: 2012 First Team All Central, 2012 First Team All-EPSLA, Philly Showcase All-Star game 2010, Nike Blue Chip rising juniors and rising seniors, 2012 Second Team All-Delco, 2012 Second Team All-Mainline, Black Card Showcase, 2012, starting member of PIAA state semifinalist, 2012

Academic honors: Honor Roll

What will you major in/study? Undecided

Why did you choose the school? “Colgate is the perfect location and size for me. The academics are incredible, the campus is beautiful, and the coaching staff made me feel right at home.”

Outlook for 2013 HS season: “After getting deep into states, we are looking to win it all next year.”

Other comments: “I’d like to thank Coach (John) Begier, Coach (George) Corrigan, Coach (Michael) Friel, and the entire coaching staff at Radnor.
