Penn Charter senior midfielder Eric Berger has signed a National Letter of Intent to play Division I lacrosse at Monmouth University.

Eric Berger log:

Eric Berger (#30)

High School: Penn Charter

Graduation Year: 2013

Position: Midfield

College Choice: Monmouth University

Club Affiliations: LB3, ALC

Major lacrosse honors: All-Inter-Ac Honorable Mention, Black Card Showcase

Academic Honors: Honor Roll

What will you major in/study? Computer Science

Why did you choose Monmouth? “After talking to Coach (Brian) Fisher and (Andrew) Geison, I was convinced they could take this new program and turn it into a success. I love the campus and beach, and their School of Science has what I’m interested in studying, so I knew it was the perfect fit for me.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “We have a strong senior class, and good leadership that can take us far. We always have one of the toughest schedules in the country, so it’s going to be a fun and exciting year.”

Additional Comments: “First off I’d like to thank all my coaches at LB3; Kev (Banks), JP (Banks), Old Man (Banks) and Jim Beury, for all their help they gave me over the summer.

“I’d also like to thank my high school coaches, Billy McKinney and especially Pat McDonough, for everything they did for me in the recruiting process, as well as pushing me to become the player I am today.

“Finally, I’d like to thank my brothers, Sean, Dave and Paulie, for making me tough, and my parents for their support throughout my life.”

Maple Zone Sports and Fitness Complex, the official sponsor for Phillylacrosse.com Boys’ Recruits, congratulates Eric Berger.
