Lower Merion junior defenseman Jack Kane has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Lafayette College.

Jack Kane log:

Jack Kane

High School: Lower Merion High School

Graduation Year: 2014

Position: Defense

College Choice: Lafayette College

Club Affiliation: HEADstrong

Major lacrosse honors: All-Star at Maverik Showtime, Varsity Starter Freshman and Sophomore year, Philly Showcase, Quaker Laxfest, Brine Shootout

What will you major in/study? Business/Economics

Why did you choose Lafayette? “Lafayette has an amazing academic reputation as well as a fantastic campus. Coach (Jim) Rogalski is an excellent coach and I think that the program is definitely moving in the right direction.”

Outlook for your high school team in 2013? “This year’s team is really heavy on upperclassmen and I think that we can definitely step it up. While the Central League is tough, I feel that with good leadership our team has what it takes to compete.”

Additional Comments: “I want to thank my family for all their support throughout the process. In addition, I would like to thank High School coaches Chet Laubach, Casey O’Rourke, Jon Borror, Mike Borsch and Ryan Sankey. I would also like to thank my club coach, Brian Neary, for all he has done to help with the recruiting process.”

Maple Zone Sports and Fitness Complex, the official sponsor for Phillylacrosse.com Boys’ Recruits, congratulates Jack Kane. Maple Zone, located on Conchester Pike in Boothwyn, offers numerous programs, leagues and instructional activities for boys’ and girls’ lacrosse players and also offers boys’ U13 and U15 travel teams.
