Jericho (N.Y) senior attackman Noah Starr has made a verbal commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Haverford College.
Noah Starr log:
High School: Jericho
Graduation Year: 2013
Position: Attack
College Choice: Haverford
Club affiliation(s): LI Pride/LI Sting
Major lacrosse honors: NE Top 150, ECLC, National Invitational 175, Hotbeds, Baltimore Summer Kickoff
What will you major in/study? Economics
Why did you choose Haverford? “Haverford offers a unique combination of outstanding academics and lacrosse in a small, liberal arts setting. Being from Long Island, Haverford is not too far from home, but not too close, either. The proximity to Philly is a huge plus.”
Outlook for your high school team? “We have to replace a lot of offense that graduated last year. That responsibility will fall largely on my shoulders, but we have other guys that are ready to step up, too. I expect that our schedule will be very tough, and we will have to battle for every victory.”
Additional Comments: “My parents have been very supportive. They drove me all over the East Coast so I could attend the various recruiting events. Coach (Joe) Baccarella was always willing to assist with an email or phone call.”
