Bishop Shanahan rising junior attackman John Mehok has committed to play Division I lacrosse at Lehigh University.

Major lacrosse honors: Bishop Shanahan leader in points this past season with 43 goals and 26 assists, Jake Reed Nike Blue Chip 2012, All-Area Second Team, All-ChesMont Second Team, Loyola Greyhound Rising Junior All-Star, Baltimore Summer Kickoff, King of the Hill, Tri-State, and Hot Beds.

What will you major in/study? Business
Why did you choose Lehigh? “For me it was the perfect combination of academics and its top rated Business School along with a first class winning lacrosse program. When I went to campus I immediately felt comfortable with Coach (Kevin) Cassese and his staff and I would like to thank him for this opportunity.”
What is your outlook for 2013 HS season? “We’re going to be a young team but that’s not going to stop us from competing each and every day. We have a great group of kids and I’m really looking forward to making a run in the always tough ChesMont League.”

Additional Comments: “I want to thank my parents for always supporting me and being by my side. My ManUp coaches Jim Schorn and Paul Meyers for all of their support and guidance over the past several years and Coach Metzbower for all his help this summer.
