C. Milton Wright junior midfielder Maggie Gallagher has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Penn State University.

Club affiliation: NEMS 2014

Major lacrosse honors: Baltimore Metro Team #2 2011 & 2012, Team Maryland Brine All American tournament, Brine All American tournament champions, 2nd team All Harford County; starter since freshman year on high school team that has won two straight regional championships while advancing to state semifinals each season

What will you major in/study: Broadcast journalism

Why did you choose school: “I love the school, the coaching staff and the team. Also, it has a good broadcast journalism program.”

Outlook for your high school team: “We should be pretty strong. We only graduated three seniors.”

Philly connection: Gallagher’s father is a John Bartram graduate and her mother is a Ridley High grad.
