Longstreth girls’ recruit: Conestoga senior midfield-attack McGillis commits to Ohio State

Conestoga senior midfield-attack Meghan McGillis has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at The Ohio State University.

What will you major in/study? Undecided

Why did you choose OSU? “I really like the combination of a solid academic program and competitive lacrosse. The big school atmosphere is so great and I really enjoyed getting to know the awesome coaches and the team on my visits.”

Outlook for 2013 HS season? “Our returning seniors are extremely strong and we work very well together. We also have talent among our younger players. We will definitely miss a few very key players from last year, but I think we will have a really good season.”

Additional Comments: “I would like to thank my family for supporting me in my lacrosse career. I would really like to thank all of my coaches; Amy Orcutt, Chrissy Poplawski, Sue Frazier and JoAnn Yusko. They have been a tremendous help to me over the years on and off the field and I really appreciate everything they have done for me.”
