Midfielder Jack Bogorowski, a starter on La Salle’s state championship team in 2009, has received his release from Johns Hopkins and has transferred to Lehigh.

Bogorowski was a First-Team All-Catholic League pick in 2011 and played in three games last year at Johns Hopkins.

At Lehigh, he will join older brother Derek Bogorowski, who played in all 17 games as a junior this spring for the Mountain Hawks and helped them win the Patriot League title and advance to the NCAA tournament for the first time.

“Jack is a great kid, with tremendous character, and from a great family that I know very well having his older brother, Derek, as a current rising senior in the program,” said Lehigh coach Kevin Cassese. “He will be a tremendous addition to the Lehigh Lacrosse family and brings with him outstanding lacrosse pedigree and impressive athleticism.”

Jack Bogorowski will be the third La Salle grad on Lehigh’s roster. Rising senior defenseman Mike Noone was a key starter last year.
