From Press Release
Two Philly players – St. Joseph’s Prep senior attackman Anthiny Marini and Moorestown (N.J.) senior goalie Dan Willis – were named to the inaugural Project 9.9 “Most Likely To Dominate” list following clinics held recently at St. Paul’s School School in Brooklandville, Md.
Led by directors/co-founders Paul Rabil and Mark Millon, players participated in high- level individual and team skill workouts and evaluations, combine and strength and conditioning, playbook aptitude testing, individual goals and expectations meetings, and team bonding exercises.
Over the course of the three-‐day event, the Project 9.9 staff used a thorough and cyclical point system to rate each player at each position. During breakfast every morning, an updated positional ranking chart was posted. Each player competed in everything they did, seeking to become Project 9.9’s “Most Likely to Dominate”.
In addition to Rabil and Millon, who handled the build out and offensive instruction, the staff included National Hall of Fame defenseman Pat McCabe, All-MLL defenseman Kyle Hartzell, MLL All-Star goalie Scott Rodgers, former Massachusetts All American goalie Tim MCcormack, Nassau Community College assistant coach Joseph Hoffman, former Loyola All American face-off player John Schiavone, and John’s Hopkins lacrosse strength and conditioning coach Jay Dyer.
Players that won the “Most Likely to Dominate” at each position:
- Anthony Marini; Attack, St. Joseph’s Prep, senior, committed to Notre Dame University
- Dan Willis; Goalie, Moorestown (N.J.), senior, Villanova University
– Travis Wood; Defense, St. Paul’s High School, committed to Johns Hopkins University
– Allen Winkoff; Midfield, Cold Spring Harbor High School, The Ohio State University
