The 2012 MLL All-Star Game Presented by Moe’s Southwest Grill is just two weeks away. Between now and then we’ll be giving you a sneak preview of what’s coming to the game on June 30 at FAU Stadium in Palm Beach County, Fla.
The HEADstrong Foundation is the official charity of the 2012 MLL All-Star Game. The foundation raises money to fight blood cancer, in memory of its founder Nicholas Colleluori, a lacrosse player at Hofstra University. Nick passed away in November of 2006 but the HEADstrong foundation lives on due to the efforts of his family and friends, and the entire lacrosse community.
HEADstrong will have a major presence at All-Star Weekend, and their trademark lime green items will be on display. The All-Star uniforms will feature the foundation’s logo, which was drawn by Nick himself; the jerseys will be auctioned off following the game. The goals will be strung with lime green netting, and all of the MLL All-Stars will be wearing HEADstrong’s popular lime-green laces for the game. The laces will also be for sale at the event, as well as HEADstrong’s newest item, a lime green chinstrap.
In the meantime, fans can go to headstrongfoundation.org to learn more about the organization and support the fight against blood cancer.
