The HEAdstrong Foundation has announced that the 3rd Annual HEADstrong Rivalry Games will be held on Saturday, April 7 at Widener University.

Participation in the HEADstrong Rivalry Youth Games does not require a team entry fee, but instead requires each team to sell (100) HEADstrong t-shirts. The t-shirts are provided by HEADstrong Foundation, and shipped to each team at the end of February, for sale in the spring prior to our event. The t-shirt sales serve a dual purpose as a Community Service Opportunity, and as the Tournament’s Primary Fundraising and Cancer Awareness elements. Therefore the t-shirt sales are a mandatory requirement, and we depend on each team to honor that commitment.
About Rivalry Games:
The HEADstrong Rivalry Games have been an overwhelming success, attended by over 3,000 supporters annually and has generated over $150,000 since it’s inception. Proceeds from the event benefit the HEADstrong Foundation in their fight against blood cancers. This effort was created in partnership with the Widener University Men’s Lacrosse Program.
This event is both a community service opportunity as well as a unique experience for players to face-off against blood cancer in a collegiate atmosphere.

The HEADstrong Foundation was founded by former Ridley and Hofstra University Lacrosse Player Nick Colleluori during his (14) month battle against blood cancer. At the age of 21, he succumbed to Lymphoma on November 28, 2006. Since Lacrosse was Nick’s passion, and he can no longer carry the ball, his family & friends now carry the ball for him. The HEADstrong Foundation is dedicated to carrying on Nick’s legacy and vision through advocating, fundraising and supporting those affected by blood cancers and those working to eliminate it.
