Due to the rapidly accelerating high school lacrosse recruiting timetable, parents are increasing their use of consultants to prepare earlier. Gold Medal Lacrosse Recruiting is expanding its team of consultants to meet this increased demand for guidance.

John Haldy, 2011 captain of University of Virginia’s national champion lacrosse team; and Kyle Wharton, named All-American at Johns Hopkins University in 2011, have recently joined as consultants in Pennsylvania. Haldy and Wharton, both Haverford School graduates, have been coaches for the Fever Lacrosse Club for the last four years.

In addition, Tyler Gilbert has also joined to support the growing interest in California. Tyler coached at Viewpoint School and Agoura High School and led his teams to two California state semi-final appearances. As a player, Tyler won back-to-back national championships, Division III with Washington College and Division I with University of Virginia.

“The Combined Gold Medal team now has over 100 years of high school and college coaching experience,,“ said John Nostrant, Gold Medal Lacrosse Recruiting co-founder, and athletic director and head coach of The Haverford School, the 2011 national high school champions.

The Gold Medal consultants, Nostrant, Malvern Prep coach and former Princeton assistant David Metzbower and Georgetown Prep coach Kevin Giblin, the team has coached 75 high school All-Americans and 27 First Team College All-Americans while being involved with six NCAA championships and four high school national champions.

The consulting firm was designed to give high school student athletes a significant advantage in the NCAA college lacrosse recruiting process. This team has a deep understanding of the academic and athletic requirements for the successful placement in all levels of NCAA programs. It has the personal relationships and personal credibility, based on its prior interactions, to have gained the confidence of nearly all of the DI, DII, and DIII college coaches.

This team will put together a multi-year program based upon skill development, club team participation, summer camp participation, tournament participation and academic requirements. The most important services provided are the direct contact and on-going communication with the top college coaches in support of the student-athletes.

“There is no program available that combines this degree of lacrosse experience, personal relationships with college coaches and personal hands-on service.” said David Metzbower, co-founder and Head Coach, Malvern Prep.
