Dave Sowers, who enjoyed a successful 9-year stint as boys’ lacrosse coach at Hatboro-Horsham, has been hired as an assistant coach at Upper Dublin.
Sowers compiled an overall record of 137-44 at H-H before resigning after leading his squad to a share of the Suburban One Continental Conference crown and a state playoff berth in 2010. Last year he served as an assistant at Wissahickon, a league rival to Upper Dublin in the American Conference.
Sowers will be an assistant under J.P. Banks, recently named the Cards’ head coach. Banks was the successor to Sowers as head coach at Hatboro-Horsham last year.
Sowers is a resident of Upper Dublin and has coached six years with the township youth program, Crooked Crosse.
