Duke’s Lacrosse Club names new assistant coaches

The Duke’s Lacrosse Club has announced the addition of four coaches in the past months.

The new coaches are:

Brian Ikeda – Former defenseman and captain at Central league champion Conestoga HS (2006); received 1st team all state honors senior year; played Division I lacrosse at Providence College (2010); received Big East All-Academic Team honors.

Ryan Sankey
– Former Central Bucks South High School and Cabrini College lacrosse player, Coach Sankey has been apart of the lacrosse community for 14 years. As a player, Sankey was All-League three consecutive years and was one of only four Pennsylvania players to make the FCA National Team in 2007. He has been the Offensive Coordinator of Rebel Elite Lacrosse Club since 2008. He has also coached at Warrington Warwick LC, Woodlynn Middle school and Lower Merion High School. Sankey coaches the FROSH Dukes LC. Coach Sankey and specializes in Offense of training as Shooting on Goalies.

Evan Bohner – Former defenseman at Conestoga High School (’09). Team won Central League championship, District 1 championship, and appeared in the PIAA state championship game in 2009. Current defensive coordinator at Upper Merion. Previously has coached Conestoga Youth Lacrosse (05-08). Team appeared in 2006 CCLA championship game.

Bruce Vosburgh – Former Henderson HS and University of Delaware lacrosse player. Captain and MVP University of Delaware, 1976. Founder of Unionville Recreation Association Boys’ and Girls’ lacrosse programs. Founder of Unionville High School and Patton Middle School boys’ lacrosse programs. Unionville HS Head Coach 1980-1992. Volunteer assistant coach at UHS since 2005.
