Launched by an enthusiastic east coast release on May 18, CROOKED ARROWS, the first mainstream lacrosse movie went nationwide on June first. Playing in over 300 theaters in over 50 cities, CROOKED ARROWS was the 15th highest grossing movie over the weekend, as it held its own against studio blockbusters.

During its first weekend in wide release, CROOKED ARROWS saw huge groups of lacrosse fans from places as diverse as Birmingham, Alabama and Albuquerque, New Mexico flood theaters. Philadelphia continued to be one of the movie’s strongest performing markets with seventeen theaters in the greater Philly area running the movie. In fact Rave Promenade 16 in the Lehigh Valley was the second highest grossing theater for CROOKED ARROWS in the country.

CROOKED ARROWS starts its fourth weekend in theaters on June 8, expanding to another 50 theaters nationwide. But if you’re planning on seeing CROOKED ARROWS on the big screen, you’d better hurry, since more blockbusters are coming and the competition at the cineplexes only gets more fierce as the month goes on.
