Club lacrosse: Duke’s L.C., Twist among teams to compete inaugural Best of the Best showcase

Many of the top boys’ club lacrosse teams will compete in the inaugural National Invitational Best of the Best (BOB) team showcase on July 5-7, 2013 on Long Island.

Teams invited to attend the BOB were considered by the BOB founders as some of the top club programs from many regions around the country willing to compete against each other in an effort to showcase their skills against elite competition. These clubs will be playing with their team in front of what is expected to be a strong turnout of college coaches.

Competition is expected to be intense with Trophies awarded to the top three teams in each graduation year, of 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Games will be played at Mitchell fields.

Philly teams attending include the Dukes L.C. and Twist. The other teams committed are: Baltimore Crabs, Building Blocks (N.J.), Chesapeake Rock, Crushnation (N.Y.), Ct Chargers, Iron Horse (TX), Leading Edge (N.J.), Long Island Express, Long Island Sting, Long Island Outlaws, NJ Riot, No Excuse (TN), Resolute (OH), Swashbucklers (FL), Team Minnesota , Team NC, Team Turnpike (N.J.), TopGun Clams (MA), Thunder (GA), and 3D (New England).

Based on this caliber of programs, the BOB is expected to be a college recruiting hotspot this summer.

The tournament is run by the founder of the successful National Invitational 175 Fall and Summer showcases, who recognized a need to assemble an invite-only team showcase. The expectation is that if many of the top programs assemble at one venue in all age classes, the greatest concentration of college coaches could attend.
