Boys’ youth lacrosse: Twist U15 wins Beat of the East crown at UMass

The Twist U15 team won the Beast of the East tournament held at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA on Sunday July 22nd.

The team went 6-0, beating teams from Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Long Island. During the two-day tournament, including the championship game, no team scored more than three goals against the squad and Twist averaged 11 goals per game.

The defense was led by goalie Jason Roland and long poles Erik DiGirolamo and Isaac Schannauer. Offensively, the scoring was led by Pierre Armstrong, Michael Nelson, Ryan Terefenko, Adam Close, Sean Wood, and Joe Donnelly. The team finished the summer tournament season with two championships (Lehigh Laxfest and Beast of the East) out of five tournaments.
