Boys’ lacrosse: Haverford School downs St. Augustine Prep, 11-6

Gavin McBride and Zach Rego each had two goals and two assists while Sam Rohr and will McNamara each scored twice as host Haverford School defeated St, Augustine prep, 11-6, today in non-league boys’ lacrosse.

The Fords, ranked No. 6 in the nation by, improved to 7-1 while the Hermits fell to 2-2.

St. Augustine, led by Michael Sutton’s four goals, took a 4-3 lead into the second period when the Fords took control with three unanswered goals.

Will Gural won 13 of 21 face-offs for Haverford and Henry Blynn added a goal and an assist while Jake Landman made seven saves.

Steve Pontrello score twice for the Hermits.
