Bishop Shanahan rising junior attackman John Mehok (Man-Up Lacrosse Club) has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Lehigh University.
Mehok was a Second Team Ches-Mont League selection and led Shanahan in scoring last spring when he helped the Eagles finish 15-5 and reach the second round of the District 1 tournament.
Mehok also plays for Old School Lacrosse. He also considered Ohio State, St. Joseph’s and Bryant.
Mehok is the second rising junior to commit to Kevin Cassese’s Mountain Hawks, who last year went 14-3, won the Patriot League championship and advanced to the NCAA tourney for the first time. The first Lehigh recruit from the Class of 2014 was Urbana (Md.) attackman/midfielder Brandon Plante as reported recently by Inside Lacrosse.
