From Press Release

Baggataway Lacrosse Club (BLC), one of the premier club teams in the Philadelphia area, will partner with American Indoor Lacrosse Association (AILA) for winter programming starting November/December 2012 running into January/February/March 2013.

AILA is the leader in indoor lacrosse education and instruction based on their proven player centered curriculum that teaches techniques that focus on the fundamental skills of indoor lacrosse. Indoor “box” lacrosse is played in an enclosed indoor facility with glass and boards that leads to fast paced read and react situations where the ball is always in play.

The AILA philosophy is to teach American players the skills that Canadian lacrosse players are using at collegiate levels today. AILA’s goal is to improve an outdoor field player’s game in an indoor setting.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to partner with American Indoor Lacrosse and the Philadelphia Wings and offer to our players “IN-CROSSE” from AILA. This will really allow our players to bring their game to another level” said Joe Karpinski, General Manager of BLC. “This added training is dedicated to educating and sharing indoor lacrosse with athletes of all ages to improve their lacrosse development.

“We teach them a new type of lacrosse that will make them better field players” said Johnny Mouradian, President of AILA and Head Coach and General Manager of the Philadelphia Wings.
The American Indoor Lacrosse Association In-Crosse system leverages the integration and convergence of the indoor and the field game. The ultimate aim of AILA is to share and educate the unique qualities of the indoor game and transfer and implement those qualities to the field to enhance the growth and development of field lacrosse coaches and players.

American Indoor Lacrosse Association ( operates in indoor facilities throughout the Philadelphia suburbs and in select areas across the country. Coaching and instruction is provided by former or current professional indoor lacrosse players that offer the best instruction in the game today. AILA introduces a true “box” style playing format with 4 x 4’9” goals, 30 second shot clocks and Goalie play in a “box” position wearing AILA supplied custom goalie gloves and padding protecting legs, arms and chest. All programs are operated under a limited checking format designed for the protection of all participants.
