Avon Grove senior goalie Chelsea DiIonno has made a commitment to play Division I lacrosse at La Salle University.

Why did you choose La Salle? “La Salle is a beautiful campus and has the academics I’m interested in. I also enjoyed meeting the coaching staff and getting to know the team. Coach (Candace) Taglianetti, Coach (Mallory) Tornetta, and Coach (Jessi) Martin made me feel very comfortable and I am excited about their vision for the lacrosse program at La Salle.”
HS Team’s Outlook For Next Season? “Although we lost six seniors, I am confident that we will be competitive this year. We have a solid group of players who have varsity playing experience. I am optimistic about the upcoming season.”
Additional Comments: “I would like to thank my goalie coach Gwen Hicks, AGHS coach Lisa Schweiger, Phantastix coaches Chrissy Poplawski, Sue Frazier, and JoAnn Yusko. Avon Grove and Phantastix teammates, my many lacrosse friends from other teams, and my family for supporting me throughout my entire lacrosse career. I appreciate all their hard work to get me to where I am today. I wouldn’t have gotten far without them.”
