Lenape (N.J.) senior attack Olivia Streilein has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Wagner College.

Why did you choose the school? “I chose Wagner because I loved the rural campus, just outside NYC. I fell in love with the coaching staff and the team immediately. I also was impressed with the Education Department. And, I feel it is just the right distance away from my family….not too far!”
What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “This year we are going to be in a rebuilding stage. We lost a lot of great players last year, which I am going to miss greatly! We have some very talented underclassmen that are going to have to really step up and play hard. I am anxious to get our season started, because I want to help lead our team to an unexpected successful season.”
Other comments: “I want to thank my Lenape Coach, Jill McCarthy. Jill has taught me so much about lacrosse and also about being a good leader. I was very shy and quiet when I was a freshman, but Jill taught me to step outside my comfort zone. Jill is an amazing coach, who works us hard and she loves to win…like we all do! I owe my Wagner career to her! I also would like to thank my family, especially my mom. They have supported me throughout my entire high school career and also my SJS summer seasons. Taking me to countless tournaments, camps and showcases. Without all of them and their sacrifices for me, getting to where I am today would not have been possible.”
