Seventeen college men’s and women’s team will compete Saturday and Sunday in the inaugural Edward Taylor Coombs Memorial Tournament at Hatboro-Horsham High.
The event will be hosted by Hatboro-Horsham, Marist College and Ursinus College and will benefit the Edward Taylor Coombs (ETC) Foundation and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). The foundation was established in honor of nineteen year old Edward Taylor Coombs, a Hatters graduate and Marist rising sophomore who was killed in a car accident on August 6th, 2011.
Saturday’s Division 1-II day features the Marist, Lafayette, Binghamton, Manhattan, Merrimack, and Dowling men’s teams. Saturday will also include Division 1 women’s teams Marist, Wagner, and La Salle. Division III men’s teams playing Sunday include Ursinus, St. Mary’s, Cabrini, McDaniel, Montclair State, Scranton, Mercy and Eastern.
Admission to the games is $5, free for all under the age of 5. Parking will be free in the lots surrounding the high school.
