Jericho (N.Y) senior attackman Noah Starr has made a verbal commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Haverford College.

Noah Starr log:

Noah Starr

High School: Jericho

Graduation Year: 2013

Position: Attack

College Choice: Haverford

Club affiliation(s): LI Pride/LI Sting

Major lacrosse honors: NE Top 150, ECLC, National Invitational 175, Hotbeds, Baltimore Summer Kickoff

What will you major in/study? Economics

Why did you choose Haverford? “Haverford offers a unique combination of outstanding academics and lacrosse in a small, liberal arts setting. Being from Long Island, Haverford is not too far from home, but not too close, either. The proximity to Philly is a huge plus.”

Outlook for your high school team? “We have to replace a lot of offense that graduated last year. That responsibility will fall largely on my shoulders, but we have other guys that are ready to step up, too. I expect that our schedule will be very tough, and we will have to battle for every victory.”

Additional Comments: “My parents have been very supportive. They drove me all over the East Coast so I could attend the various recruiting events. Coach (Joe) Baccarella was always willing to assist with an email or phone call.”

Maple Zone Sports and Fitness Complex, the official sponsor for Phillylacrosse.com Boys’ Recruits, congratulates Noah Starr. Maple Zone, located on Conchester Pike in Boothwyn, offers numerous programs, leagues and instructional activities for boys’ and girls’ lacrosse players and also offers boys’ U13 and U15 travel teams.
