Maple Zone boys’ recruit: Ponte Vedra (Fla.) senior attackman Francis (formerly of Hill School) commits to Navy

Ponte Vedra senior attackman Brendan Francis, who formerly played at The Hill School and for Philly club teams twist and Dukes L.C., has committed to play Division I lacrosse at the United States Naval Academy.

College Choice: United States Naval Academy

Club affiliation(s): Twist, Team Florida, Dukes LC

Major lacrosse honors: EPSLA private school All-Stars (Hill School), ESPNRise top 25 attack 2012, Blue Chip rising sophomore showcase 2010, Two time All-American 2011 & 2012 (Florida), North Florida player of the year 2011 & 2012.

What will you major in/study? Undecided

Why did you choose Navy? “A military career is a good fit for me. Also, playing lacrosse in a program with deep history and high expectations is exciting. Doing all of that while getting an education at one of the best schools in the country was an easy decision for me.”

Additional Comments? “Thank you to Coaches West, Oliver and Romanchuck (PVHS). Thanks to club Coaches Serio, Flego and Devlin (Twist). Finally, thanks to my parents for helping me get to all the tourneys.”
