Cherry Hill East senior attack Alex DePiero has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Montclair State University.

Alexa DiPiero log:

Alexa DePiero

High school: Cherry Hill High School East

Graduation year: 2012

Position: Attack

College choice: Montclair State University

Club affiliation:
South Jersey Select Lacrosse

Major lacrosse tournaments:
IWLCA Champions Cup, Club National, The Northern Rise, IWLCA Capital Cup, Rivalry Challenge, Lax by the Sea, Lax for the Cure, Rutgers 4 v 4

What will you major in/study: Family and Child Studies and Education

Why did you choose school:
“Montclair had everything I was looking for in a school! It is a perfect fit academically, athletically, and geographically. Both Coach (Nicole) Parcelluzzi and Coach (Kelsey) Withrow were very welcoming and I am very excited to be a part of their team.”

Outlook for your high school team: “This season we should do very well! We have a group of extremely talented girls eager to work hard and give it their all! Despite the fact that we lost some key players, our team is ready to step it up and work hard in one of the most challenging conferences.”

Other comments: “I would like to thank my parents for all that they have done throughout the recruiting process as well as traveling distances to tournaments and transporting me to practices. Also, I would like to thank my South Jersey Select Coaches along with my High School Coach, Katie Boyle, for really caring about making me a better player and teaching me how to enhance my skills along the way. Lastly, I would like to thank my teammates because without them I wouldn’t be the player I am today.”
