Wilson (PA) junior midfielder Lindsay McCanney has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Lehigh University.

Lacrosse honors: First Team All County 2011, Berks County Champions 2010, Letter winner 2011, 2010; Attended Prime Time Showcase, Mid-Atlantic Showcase, All American Showcase, Capital Cup Showcase, National Draw Showcase
Academic honors: Top 10% of class (2010, 2009), High Honor Role (2011, 2010, 2009)
Intended major: “I plan to major in Finance or Accounting.”
Why did you choose Lehigh? “I chose Lehigh because the coaches were extremely nice and it has an excellent academic reputation as well as a strong lacrosse program. Also the campus is perfect for me and is close to home.”
Outlook for 2012 HS season: “Wilson High School should be a contender again for the Berks County Championship. We lost some key players but we also have talented players returning.”
Other comments: “I would like to thank my parents for driving me to all of my games and practices in order to allow me to strengthen my lacrosse abilities. Also I would like to thank my dad for coaching me throughout my high school career and being my inspiration to always do my best. Finally I would like to thank Coach (Mark) Pinkerton and Coach (Liz) Hockley for coaching me on the X-treme 2013 lacrosse team.”
