What will you major in/study? Either Economics or International Relations.
Why did you choose Dartmouth? “As cliché as it sounds, the moment I stepped onto the Dartmouth campus, I knew I was at home. Surrounded by the beautiful mountains of New Hampshire and nestled in the small town of Hanover, Dartmouth has the ideal college campus. I felt that I could relate with the students there and I got a true sense of community that made me feel very comfortable. Not only will intelligent people surround me, I will also have the opportunity to learn from the best professors, and get to know a very diverse, well-rounded, active, and interesting student body.
The Dartmouth Plan (D-Plan) is another aspect that really sets Dartmouth apart. It is a very unique opportunity to be able to go abroad for a trimester while also being a Division 1 athlete. I think that the D-Plan gives students a chance to better understand themselves and figure out what they want to do with their lives. The ability to obtain an internship or travel abroad is irreplaceable.
I could go on and on about why I chose Dartmouth, but the last thing I want to mention is how excited I am about the lacrosse program, the team, and of course the coaches, Amy Patton, Allison Evans, and Melissa Wiggins. The girls are extremely talented, athletic, and all around great people. The coaches are extraordinary, and I can’t wait to have this opportunity to get coached by the best, play with the best, and reach my potential as a lacrosse player and as a person overall.”
What is your HS team’s outlook for next year? “We had a very young team last year, and we are adding even more freshman to our roster. After coming off of a loss to Friends Central in the Championships, we look forward to working really hard and building to reach our goals and taking back the Friends League Championship Title. The team is very athletic and diligent, and I am excited to have been named captain for the 2011-12 season and help teach all that I have learned over the years to the underclassmen.”
Additional comments: “I would like to thank my family and friends for supporting me throughout this entire process. I would also like to thank my Club Coaches, Michele DeJuliis, Nicole Flego, and Lauren Morton for teaching me all that I know about the sport of lacrosse, giving me the confidence to mature as an individual, and for being great mentors and friends.”
