West Chester East senior defenseman/LSM Tim Kulp has transferred to Canadian power Hill Academy in Ontario, Canada.
Kulp, a First Team Ches-Mont League pick last year, will spend his senior year at Hill Academy and also stay a year as a post-graduate.
Kulp, who plays for the Duke’s Lacrosse Club, will join two other Philly players already at Hill Academy – senior goalie Hank Altschuler (Lower Merion) and PG attackman Ethan Heisman (Henderson), who plays on the first-year PG team at Hill. Altschuler will play at Hofstra next year and Heisman at Providence.
Kulp was picked to play in the Eastern Pennsylvania Scholastic Lacrosse Association Showcase in 2010.
Hill Academy, coached by Brodie Merrill, has primarily Canadian players on the PG and high school rosters. Hill played Haverford School last year, bowing 21-14.
