Haverford College women’s lacrosse junior Josie Ferri (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) was named Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office Monday.

Ferri scored seven goals and scooped up five ground balls to lead the Fords to a 12-4 season-opening win versus Susquehanna Saturday afternoon. She also added three draw controls and caused four turnovers while dishing out an assist. Her career goal total is now 99 for the Fords, who received Honorable Mention in the IWLCA Division III rankings.

Navy’s Gennaro (Archbishop Carroll) Earns Patriot League Offensive Player of Week

After another 2-0 weekend, Navy (5-0) had saw freshman Aimee Gennaro (Havertown/Archbishop Carroll) selected as the Patriot League’s Offensive Player of
the Week.

Gennaro led the Mids with eight goals and three assists for 11 points last week. Gennaro scored four times and added two assists in a 22-7 win over Bryant on
Friday and tallied four more goals in an 11-8 win over High Point on Sunday.

Gennaro has had multi-goal performances in each of her first five games this season and has scored four goals three times. She becomes the first freshman at
Navy to earn the league’s top offensive weekly accolade. Gennaro was also named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week last Monday.

Gennaro is currently ranked second in the nation in total points (24), behind Navy teammate Jasmine DePompeo (25).
