From Press Releases

Under Armour, Inc. (NYSE: UA) and Corrigan Sports Enterprises, Inc. announced today the selection of the nation’s top boys and girls high school seniors to the prestigious All-America lacrosse rosters. The sixth annual Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic will take place on Saturday, July 2 at Towson University’s Johnny Unitas Stadium in Towson, MD.

The University of Maryland men’s lacrosse program led the nation as six of its incoming recruits earned All-America honors. The women’s programs at Duke, Florida, and Maryland each had four. The collegiate rosters for the men’s and women’s teams who will be competing in this weekend’s NCAA Division I championships are comprised of a total of 107 Under Armour All-America alumnae.

One of the nation’s leading high school boys’ programs, the Haverford School in Haverford, PA, tied an event record by having five of its student-athletes earn All-America status in the same year. The five are goalie Conor Kelly, midfielders Brendan McGrath and Matt Walters, defenseman/LSM Goran Murray and attackman Carl Walrath.

Other Philly players joining them on the South team are Penn Charter attackman Joey Sankey, Conestoga LSM Brian Dailey, La Salle attackman Kevin Forster and Salesianum School defenseman Ryan Kilpatrick.

A full weekend of events is scheduled, highlighted by the All-America boys showcase live on ESPNU at 8PM and the girls’ game at 4PM on Saturday. For the first time the weekend will include a professional men’s exhibition game and a concert. The LXM PRO Showcase will be held between the girls’ and boys’ games at 6PM, and the evening will conclude with a performance by hip-hop artist and DC native Wale.

The North boys will be coached by Bill Cherry (Manhasset HS; Manhasset, NY), while the South boys squad will be coached by Rick Brocato (St. Paul’s School; Brooklandvale, MD).

The Underclass tournament associated with the event expanded this year to include South and West regions for the first time. These regions will compete against teams from Baltimore, Long Island, Midwest, New England, New Jersey, Philadelphia, upstate NY and Washington, D.C. The three-day Underclass tournament (July 1 – 3) culminates Sunday with the girls’ and boys’ finals at 3:30PM on the fields surrounding Unitas Stadium.
