The Duke’s Lacrosse Club Green squad fell to Tri-State Red, 6-3, today in the championship game of the annual Tri-State Holiday Shoot-Out Christmas Tournament at the Peddie School’s Von Athletic Center in Hightstown, N.J.
Dukes Green earned the No. 1 seed by going 4-0 in pool play. Dukes then toppled the Hermits (St. Augustine Prep), 13-4, in the semifinals while Tri-State (3-1 in pool play, No. 2 seed) knocked off Dukes Blue, 8-5.
Dukes Green was led by sophomore goalie Brian Zappala (Episcopal Academy) sophomore middles Greg Farris (Southern Lehigh) and Robbie Kuhn (Moorestown, NJ) and freshman middie Grant Ament (Haverford School).
Dukes Blue was led by freshman goalie Ryan Kern (Appoquinmink, DE) and freshman attackmen Keith White (Methacton), Zach Hare (Spring-Ford) and Lucas Spence (Springfield-Delco).
