Thursday’s girls’ Central League roundup: Radnor, Haverford, Harriton, Conestoga, Springfield-D, Ridley win

Taryn Deck scored seven goals and Lindsay Grosman added six goals and an assist as host Radnor defeated Garnet Valley, 17-10, today in Central League girls’ lacrosse.

The Red Raiders – ranked No. 25 in the nation in the ESPN RISE Powerade Fab 50 and No. 3 in the PA Media Rankings – improved to 5-0 overall and 3-0 in the league. The Jaguars fell to 3-2 overall and 1-2 in the league.

Natalie Miller added two goals and two assists for Radnor and Annie oehling made eight saves.

Ally Heavens had four goals and Halley Barnes added three goals and an assist for the Jags. Kate Stroup had 12 saves in goal.

Haverford High 17, Marple Newtown 5

Katrina Geiger had five goals and three assists while Amanda Case and Lauren Falasco added three goals and one assist for the Fords in the Central League win.

Harriton 20, Penncrest 4

Carli Sukonik scored six goals and Jess Schwab tallied five to lead the Rams to the Central League victory.

Christy Bond had two goals for Penncrest.

Conestoga 19, Lower Merion 5

Britta Hjelm had five goals and an assist while Claire Jackson and Mackenzie Orr each had three goals and an assist for the Pioneers. Meghan McGillis added two goals and four assists.

Kiersten Daly led the Aces with three goals.

Springfield-Delco 12, Strath Haven 9

Maddy Lynch scored five goals, Alex Poplawski had three and lauren Notofrancesco added a pair to lift the Cougars to the victory.

Lexi Mazur andKirsten Wilhelmsen had three goals each for the Panthers.

Ridley 16, Upper Darby 4

Lacie Doubet and Carly McColgan each scored four goals to lead the Green Raiders to the win. Kelsey Carr and Emily Finnegan each had two for the Royals.
