Connor Frisina scored three goals while Billy Flatley and Tyler Brooke added a pair each to lead visiting Conestoga to an 11-3 victory today over Penncrest in a Central League boys’ lacrosse game.
The victory improved the Pioneers to 3-0 overall. They were coming off a huge 11-9 win over Boys’ Latin (Md.), a team ranked among the top five in the nation in two national polls.
Matt Klodarska scored two goals for Penncrest (1-1, 0-1).
Radnor 12, Marple Newtown 4
Charlie Rubin had three goals and an assist, Ben Junior scored three goals and Mike Barnes had two goals and won 12 of 14 face-offs as the Red Raiders defeated the Tigers in a Central League game.
Alex Manderack added two goals and an assist and Brendan Manderack made eight saves.
Springfield-Delco 5, Haverford High 2
Dan O’Connell made 12 saves and Mark Gurenlian won 9 of 10 face-offs to lift the Cougars to the Central League win.
Jesse Martin led the Springfield-Delco attack with two goals and an assist.
Ridley 13, Lower Merion 2
Kyle Bush, Jim Gormley, Kelton Heverly and Eric Streicher each scored two goals for the Raiders in the Central League win.
Garnet Valley 19, Upper Darby 1
Jules Raucci and brother Robert Raucci each scored had hat tricks to lead the Jaguars (3-0) in their Central League opener.
Bishop Shanahan 7, Unionville 4
Joe McErlean scored four goals and Keegan Lawton added a pair as the Eagles claimed the Ches-Mont League win.
Rich Kaiser led the Indians with four goals.
Avon Grove 9, Great Valley 8
Damian Sobieski (three goals) scored in overtime to give the Devils a thrilling Ches-Mont League win over the Patriots.
Avon Grove’s Tanner Peck sent it into OT with a tying goal late in the game.
Eric Gartner led Great Valley (2-1) with four goals and Greg Merrill had two goals and one assist.
Downingtown East 13, Upper Dublin 8
Aaron Murphy scored four goals to lead the Cougars to the non-league victory.
Willy Beury led the Cards with four goals.
Archbishop Wood 15, Central Bucks South 8
Chandler Grasela collected three goals and two assists and Chris Rahill had three goals and an assist to help the Vikings earn the non-league win.
New Hope-Solebury 9, Neshaminy 1
John Cimbalista scored three goals and Carter Robinson added a pair, while Max Wolf made seven saves for the Lions in their non-league win.
Westtown 5, Devon Prep 4
Jeff Novak scored the game winner with 1:23 remaining in the game to lift Westtown.
Pat Robbins scored three goals and Colin Fenney won 13 of 13 face-offs for the Tide in defeat.
Plymouth Whitemarsh 7, Wissahickon 1
Andrew Sabia made 11 saves on 20 shots and Dylan Wixted scored four goals while Gryphin Kelly won 12 of 13 face-offs to lead the Colonials to the Suburban One American Conference win.
Archbishop Carroll 9, Bayard Rustin 8, OT
Brian Keith scored three goals, including the game-tying tally and game-winner in overtime to lead the Patriots past the Golden Knights.
