Summer tournament roundup: Twist White wins high school JV A championship at Patriot Games Showcase

Twist Lacrosse White claimed the JV A Division championship Sunday at the 4th Patriot Games Youth Lacrosse Summer Showcase at Herbst Complex in Plumstead.

Twist White won the JV A Division title at the Patriots Games Showcase

Twist White, made up of all rising sophomores, defeated Trilogy Jersey Shore, 5-2, in the title game. Twist finished the summer with a 22-6 record and two tournament championships.

Twist started off the tournament with wins over Team Total (8-5) and Team Turnpike (6-4) and then fell to the LI Outlaws (8-3), finishing the day with the No. 2 seed going to the semifinals on Sunday.

After a tough battle in the semi final, Twist defeated Brotherhood, 5-4, setting up a second meeting against Trilogy Jersey Shore.

Playing shorthanded all weekend, Twist had strong contributions from Andrew Del Brocco at the face-off circle and defensively from Kyle Lawlor, Keith Cameron, Riley Smith, Ryan Sullivan, Jack Kane, Alex Simpson, backed by Colin MacDougal and Matt Messerle in goal.
