Veasna Kim scored two goals and Scott McGrath made 11 saves as Northeast defeated defending champion George Washington, 6-3, to claim the Public League boys’ lacrosse title today at Gratz High.
Northeast jumped to a 2-0 first-period lead and never relinquished the advantage, pullihg ahead, 6-1, after three periods.
Matt Ragan had a three-point game for Northeast on one goal and two assists John Liebig, Ryan London and Nick Bromley contributed one goal each.
Nick DiMartino scored twice for GW while Tori Gordon put in one goal and Colin Kramer dished out one assist. Declan Sweeney kept the score close by making 11 saves.
