Mahwah (N.J.) junior midfielder Bob Collins has committed to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Notre Dame.
Bob Collins log:

High School: Mahwah High School
Graduation Year: 2013
Position: Midfield
College Choice: Notre Dame
Club Affiliation: Long Island Sting
Academic honors: National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, High Honor roll, Honor roll, Student Council Vice President.
What will you major in/study? Business
Why did you choose Notre Dame? “On the trip out there, I was so impressed with the school, the people, and the virtues of Notre Dame. On top of it being a great school academically, the team and coaching staff is great. Everyone genuinely cares about each other, and I’m very excited to be a part of the program.”
What is your HS team’s outlook for next year? “We have a strong and tight senior class. We graduated 15 seniors last year, but we are ready to reload some of those positions. I know everyone’s going to pull through, and we’ll have a great year. We’ll be a contender for leagues, counties, and States.”
Additional comments: “I definitely want to first thank my parents, they’ve supported me through the whole process and have always been great. Also, my coaches for Mahwah High, Brian Callanan and Ernie Yenco. Lastly, I want to thank Ken Miller of the Long Island Sting. Without them, none of this would have been possible.”
