Men’s recruit: Spring-Ford junior attackman Major commits to Delaware

Spring-Ford junior attackman Paul Major has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Delaware.

Graduation Year: 2013

Position: Attackman

College Choice: Delaware

Club Affiliation: Duke’s Lacrosse Club

Major lacrosse honors: Second team PAC-10, 2011; member of league champions, 2011, Maverik Showtime All-Star; EPSLA Showcase 2011; scored 73 goals as sophomore, second in Philly area.

Academic honors: Honor Roll

What will you major in/study? Probably Engineering

Why did you choose school? “I really like the coaches and the campus. I thought it was a great fit for me academically. And the lacrosse program is outstanding.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for next year? “We want to repeat as PAC-10 champions and make it back to where we got last year (District 1 quarterfinals) and go further.”

Other comments: “I want to thank my family, my high school coaches (Kevin) Donnelly, and (Kevin) Czapor, as well as (Duke’s LC coach) Ebe Helm and rest of the Dukes coaches.”
