Penncrest senior defenseman Drew Butkus has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Stevens Institute of Technology.

Major lacrosse honors: National Lacrosse Classic, 2011.
What will you major in/study: Mechanical Engineering
Why did you choose school: “Stevens is a great school for both engineering and lacrosse. The coaches there are awesome and have been really helpful through the entire recruiting process.
Outlook for your high school team: “We have a lot of young guys that are going to be expected to really step up this year, but we also have a great core of veteran players returning. I expect to have a really good season.
Other comments: “Thank you to all my coaches throughout the years, both in season and out, from the Pettit family both old and young to Coach (Wayne) Matsinger. Also, thank you to my parents and my sisters for always supporting me.”
