Owen J. Roberts senior defenseman Tucker Palmer has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Hood College (MD).
Tucker Palmer log:

High school: Owen J. Roberts High School
Graduation year: 2012
Position: Defense/LSM
College choice: Hood College, Frederick, Maryland
Club affiliation: Twist
Major lacrosse honors: 2011 Most Improved Player, OJR.
What will you major in/study: Political Science
Why did you choose school: “Hood College was attractive to me on a lot of levels including the amazing campus and the size. The proximity of the school to Washington, D.C. as a political science major was part of it and Hood’s rigorous academic tradition and a very promising rising lacrosse team, now in the Middle Atlantic Conference, were also contributing factors. Coach (Jeremy) Mattoon is one of the most inspiring coaches I have ever had the pleasure to meet and I am sure that my whole experience at Hood will be amazing.”
Outlook for your high school team: “OJR lax has set some very high goals this year including the PAC-10 championship, districts and an appearance at states. We have a lot of young starters that are really talented and I am confident we’re going to be competitive.”
Other comments: “First I need to thank my parents, for helping me in this journey. Gratitude to everyone at Coventry Youth Lacrosse where I first started out. Big props to my awesome high school Coaches Neese, Ben, Sage, Volpe and Shields. I also would like to thank my Twist coaches Coeyman, and Coach Lavin for a first-class tournament experience.”
Playing for OJR and Twist have both been excellent and have prepared me to lead and compete at the next level.
