Moorestown (N.J.) junior face-off specialist/midfielder Matt Olbrich has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Delaware.

Graduation year: 2013
Position: FO/Middie
College choice: University of Delaware
Club affiliation: Tri-State
Major lacrosse honors: Two year Varsity player for Moorestown (NJ State Group 3 Champs), played in All-Star game at Baltimore Kickoff, King of the Hill and UNC team camp, attended Brine Shootout, Champ Camp, and Tri-State National.
What will you major in/study?: Business/Sports Management
Why did you choose school?: “UDel was just the best overall fit for me for academics and lacrosse. I really connected with Coaches (Bob) Shillinglaw and (Greg) Carroll. Also, I will have the opportunity for my parents to see most games.”
Outlook for your high school team: “I hope to win another state championship. We lost a lot of senior leadership but we still have enough talent. We just need to put it all together.”
Other comments: “I would like to thank Coach MV Whitlow and Coach Don Green from Tri-State. They put me in a position to be recruited by many good schools. Also, I want to thank Coach (Baron) Wallenhurst and all the assistants at Moorestown. (Jeremy, Sean, & Kyle.) as well as my parents for all their support.”
