Henderson senior midfielder/defenseman Jacob Richard has signed a National letter of Intent to play Division I lacrosse at Marquette University.

Major lacrosse honors: First Team Ches-Mont, EPSLA Showcase, 2011
Academic honors: National Honors Society
What will you major in/study? Undecided
Other info: Was starting quarterback on undefeated Ches-Mont football champions this fall.
Why did you choose school? “I chose Marquette because it’s a Jesuit school with great opportunities for leadership and service and it’s a chance to strengthen my faith. Also, I love the fact that it’s a new program and gives our team an opportunity to start a whole new era in the lacrosse world.”
What is your HS team’s outlook for next year? “We are looking to have a lot of fun. We have a lot of returning starters and lost only one senior so our goal is to win the Ches-Mont.”
Other comments: First and foremost, I want to thank God for the blessing he’s given me. I want to thank my parents for supporting me through everything. Lastly, the HEADstrong organization for allowing me to play lacrosse while honoring such a great cause.”
