Germantown Academy senior defensemen Sean Robins has committed to play next year at Men’s College Lacrosse Association (MCLA) Division I program Richmond University.

Robbins earned second team All-Inter Ac League honors this season, helping the Patriots finish 14-5 and earn recognition in the nation’s Top 25 rankings for most of the year. An honor student, Robbins also starred for the GA soccer team.
Robbins plans to study a field in science.
“I chose Richmond because of the beautiful campus, the strong academic reputation, and the level of lacrosse,” Robbins said.
This year Richmond is making the jump from the National College Lacrosse League (NCLL) to MCLA status. The Spiders hired former Ursinus College coach and Philly native Glenn Carter to make the transition.
“I know the lacrosse team at Richmond is definitely on the upswing and I liked having the opportunity to continue to help the program grow,” Robins said.
Carter also was the former coach at Neumann University and spent time as an assistant coach of the Philadelphia Barrage.
“I have heard nothing but good things about Coach Carter and I am very excited to be playing for him,” Robins said. “He has the team on the right track.”
Robbins joins three other Philly seniors as Richmond recruits: Malvern prep goalie Ryan McDevitt, Haverford School midfielder Nate Volpert and Allentown Central Catholic long stick midfielder Brian Topper.
