Downingtown West senior midfielder Ryan Hibbs has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Mt. St. Mary’s University.
Ryan Hibbs log:
High school: Downingtown West High School
Graduation year: 2012
Position: Middie
College choice: Mt. St. Mary’s
Club affiliation: Duke’s Lacrosse Club
Major lacrosse honors: UVA Team Camp Offensive MVP, member of Ches-Mont League champions and state qualifier in 2011
What will you major in/study?: Business
Why did you choose school?: Coach (Tom) Gravante was such an energetic guy and I really wanted to play for him at the Mount, and the college just had everything I wanted.”
Outlook for your high school team: “We look very good. Losing an All-American goalie in Dustin Keen is going to hurt but our senior goalie is ready to step up and we should win Ches-Monts again and get back to the State tournament.”
Other comments: “Thanks to the Duke’s Lacrosse Coaches, (Downingtown West) coaches Tom Hannum and Ray Beneke, West Bradford Lacrosse, and JK Poirier.”
