Cumberland Valley (PA) senior defenseman Billy Newman has made a commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Roanoke College.

Major lacrosse honors: All league, Top 205 Rising Junior and Senior, Diamond Showcase, Defense MVP
What will you major in/study: Exercise Science
Why did you choose school?: “It was a great fit. All of the coaches were great and I loved the location and campus.”
Outlook for your high school team: “We have a large senior class this year and we hope to return to the PIAA state playoffs again.”
Other comments: “I would like to thank the coaches of Cumberland Valley and the Central PA Dawgs for all the years of good coaching. I also would like to thank my teammates (CV and Dawgs) for their support. I would like to thank my mother for being my biggest fan and supporting me in everything that I do. Last but not least, I would like to thank my dad for making me the lacrosse player and man that I am today. He constantly pushed me to my limits because he saw the potential in me and without him, I would be nowhere near where I am today.”
