Shipley senior midfielder Mac Gallagher has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Lafayette College.

Mac Gallagher log:

Graduation Year: 2012

Position: Midfield

College Choice: Lafayette College

What will you major in/study? Economics and Political Science

Why did you choose Lafayette? “Lafayette has so much to offer. The combination of high level academics and athletics was a perfect fit for me. I really connected with Coach (Terry) Mangan and his staff and look forward to the opportunity to compete in the Patriot League.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for next year? “We have a lot of returning players and strong senior leadership so I believe that we can have some real success both in and out of our league this year. Of course our goal is to win our 4th straight FSL (Friends School League) title, but we are also looking to be a competitor in the Inter-Ac Invitational Tournament again this year.”

Additional comments: “I would like to thank my coaches at Shipley Mark Duncan, Travis McDonnell, Dave Rauch and Ted Bloom along with my Old School Lacrosse coaches David Metzbower, John Nostrant and Todd MacFarlane as well as my parents and my brothers.”
