From Press Release
Former Springfield-Delco All-American Julianna Jeffers joins the Temple lacrosse staff as a graduate assistant coach starting in the 2011-12 season. Jeffers is a 2011 graduate of the University of Delaware where she was an All-CAA selection as a senior and the team’s leading scorer in her final two seasons.
“It is really exciting to have Julianna join our coaching staff,” said sixth-year Temple head coach Bonnie Rosen. “I believe she is one of the great up-and-coming coaches recently graduating from college. She brings the experience of a successful collegiate lacrosse career, a knowledge of the local recruiting area, and the drive and passion for coaching that will enable us to continue to become one of the top programs in the A-10 and the country.”
Jeffers earned a bachelor’s of science in human services with a concentration in administration and family policy. She will be working toward a master’s degree in sports psychology while at Temple. Jeffers was named to the Dean’s List for the last three years, and was named to the Colonial Athletic Association Commissioner’s Honor Roll in 2010 and 2011.
As a midfielder for the Blue Hens’ lacrosse team, Jeffers earned second team All-CAA honors in 2011, and was named to the All-CAA Rookie Team in 2008. The Blue Hens earned CAA Tournament berths in 2008 and 2009, and Jeffers holds the team record for most draw controls in a game with seven.
Jeffers was a representative on the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) while at Delaware, as well as a member and co-President of H.E.N.S (Helping Each New Student). She also served as a Student Services for Athletes Summer Intern in 2010 and 2011, and was a UD lacrosse camp counselor from 2008-2011.
Jeffers was an All-American in 2007 for Springfield-Delco, leading the Cougars to an undefeated season and a District 1 Class AA championship.
