On Tuesday the United States U-19 national team – featuring Philly’s Taylor Trimble (Episcopal Academy) and Allie Murray (Downingtown East) – defeated a Philly All-Star team, 14-9, in an exhibition put on by US Lacrosse at Episcopal Academy.

Tuesday’s game was the second in a two-day exhibition series for the US squad, which competes Aug. 3-14 in Hannover, Germany for the Federation of International World championship. The US team is the three-time defending champion
Trimble, a team captain and midfielder, had three goals and three assists and won a number of draw controls. Meanwhile, Murray was strong as the first-half goalie.
On Monday the US team played the Phantastix, a Philly-based club team, at Hill School, where they concluding a three-day skills camp for youths that ended Wednesday.
